My
Story

At the age of 19, while pursuing my Bachelor of Fine Arts at Old Dominion University, I found not only a passion for artistic expression but also an unexpected ally in my battle against severe depression, mild anxiety, & ADHD. This pivotal realization marked the genesis of my battle against mental health challenges and despite the weight of my diagnosis, I chose a path less traveled — one without the crutch of medication. Instead, I turned inward, seeking solace and strength through my art and photography. The canvas became my confidant, and each artwork framed a moment of introspection. As I confronted the shadows within, my art transformed into a tool for personal liberation, a force that guided me from the depths of mental health challenges to a place of newfound strength. My artistic practice evolved into a powerful medium for self-discovery and healing.

Behind the Lens: My Current Journey

Unveiling Stories, Inspiring Souls: Nurturing Minds, Crafting Futures

I aspire to share my testimony with individuals facing mental health challenges, offering insight gained from my own journey. Through the development of therapeutic art practices, I aim to help others overcome their mental blockages through creative expression. Currently, I am dedicated to offering my specialties to youth art programs in Richmond, VA, while simultaneously establishing my publishing company and art lab, 'Our Mind's Never Die.' This venture focuses on offering art prints and publishing art books that interweaves spirituality, mental health, and psychology.
