On The Run, and then Boom

On June 12, 2023, I sat entrapped in my car outside of Chimborazo Park in Richmond, VA while 20 Richmond Police cars hunted one man in an orange shirt. The man ran passed my car and dipped between two houses. About 5 minutes later, the man shoots and kills himself. This abstract painting depicts my experience before, during, and after the incident.
This painting was started during a public art event titled The Easel with Art 180 in Jackson Ward, Richmond, VA and is apart of the Art 180's art collection.
